Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Sec-Gen Wilson Sossion under siege after TSC drew a line in the sand on teachers' involvement in politics. The ODM nominated Member of Parliament Sossion is now facing a revolt.
KNUT branch secretaries have written to the Ministry of Labor and Social protection claiming not to have received any form of payment from the union in the discharge of their duties from March.
"Members of the National Steering Committee Arm earn without cease with zero feeling for the Executive Secretaries pushed in want, loss of esteem and economic pestilence." Read part of the dissenting KNUT voices.
Union officials, therefore, want the labour officials to compel the governing body to organise a change of guard, to oversee free and fair elections next year. In response, Sossion has called for the incredibility of his accusers into question.
The Knut Secretary general says there are suspected members of the union out to settle a score.
