KNEC Sends Tough Regulations to Examination Centre Managers
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has implemented a ban on unauthorized individuals entering examination centers. As part of this change, Njeng’ere has introduced a new procedure for the collection of KCSE examination papers.
Beginning this year, this collection will take place twice within a container. Only center managers, supervisors, and invigilators will have access to these examination centers, and Njeng’ere has urged everyone to ensure strict enforcement of this policy.
In preparation for the examination period, Njeng’ere has also outlined a requirement for center managers. They are to compile a list of all on-duty support staff and transmit it to the subcounty directors of education.
In a separate statement, CS Machogu issued a strong warning to both officials and candidates involved in the 2023 national examinations. He stressed that the ministry would not show leniency towards anyone found engaged in misconduct.
The ministry is committed to taking appropriate action against officers who violate established rules and regulations, ensuring that no one involved in facilitating cheating during examinations is exempt from consequences.
