KNEC releases national exams timetables for 2023

KNEC releases national exams timetable

The schedule for this year’s national exams has been issued by the Kenya National Examination Council.

According to Knec, both the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment and the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education will be completed at the same time.

On Friday, October 27, 2023, KCPE and KPSEA will have their rehearsal.

The tests for both levels will start on October 30 and go through November 1 of 2023.

Candidates will take English and Mathematics exams on the first day.

They will take science and Swahili tests on the second day, and on Wednesday, KPSEA applicants will take social studies and creative arts exams.

Students taking the KCPE exams will study social studies and religion.

15 minutes before to the start of the exam, Knec encouraged the candidates to be seated at their designated locations.

It said, “Morning sessions will start at 8.30 a.m.”

Projects for candidates for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education are anticipated to wrap up in July 2023.

“Schools should upload marks for subjects with a project component by April 21, 2023, for Milestone 1 and July 31, 2023, for Milestone 2, where applicable,” said Knec.

Agriculture, woodworking, metalworking, building construction, and computer studies are a few of these.

The candidates will take oral exams in foreign languages, practical exams in sign language, and practical exams in music from Monday, October 23, to Friday, October 27.

The 2023 October 19th rehearsal date has been established.

They will do a planning session for their home science practicals on Wednesday, October 25, and they will conduct their actual practicals on Monday, October 30 and Tuesday, October 31.

Candidates will take a variety of exams on the aforementioned topics from Wednesday, November 1 through Friday, November 3.

Overall, the exam will start with English on November 6 and conclude with physics practicals on November 24, 2023.

All of the examinations for the first session will begin at 8 a.m., while those for the second session will begin at 2 p.m., according to Knec.

It issued a warning to all applicants not to cheat on exams, emphasizing that the consequences might include result cancellation, jail term, and/or a fine.
