KNEC Releases List of Subjects for Written Exams in Grade 3,4,5&7
Grade 3, 4, 5, and 7 National Written Tests – October 2023
Grade 3, 4, 5, and 7 learners in Kenya will be undertaking their national written tests starting in October 2023. These assessments, administered by the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec), come after the learners have already completed their projects and practicals, spanning from June 6th to August 10th.
The written exams for each grade are scheduled to begin on October 2nd, 2023. Below is a breakdown of the subjects and their respective testing periods for each grade:
Grade 3 subjects with written exams
For Grade 3 learners, the written exams will cover two subjects and will take place from October 2nd to October 26th, 2023:
1. Mathematics Activities
2. English Activities
Grade 4 subjects with written exams
Grade 4 learners will undergo exams in multiple subjects from October 2nd to October 26th, 2023. The subjects include:
1. Mathematics
2. English
3. Kiswahili
4. Agriculture
5. Social Studies
6. Home Science
7. Art and Craft
8. CRE/IRE/HRE
9. Science and Technology
10. Kenyan Sign Language
