The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced the examination dates for Competency-Based Assessments (CBA) in Grades 3, 4, 5, and 7, which are scheduled for October 2023.
Students have already completed their projects and practical assessments, which took place from June 6th to August 10th. The forthcoming assessments, organized by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), will commence on October 2, 2023.
During these assessments, teachers will evaluate students through performance-based tasks, using provided guidelines. Any assessment tools requiring the use of color images should be printed in color and uploaded to the digital platforms available in schools.
Since the adoption of the competency-based curriculum, tests have become integral to formative assessments in the educational system. The council uploads assessment tools for schools to download and employ with their students.
