KMTC Scholarships in Higher Diploma; Orthopaedic Technology
Scholarships are being offered by the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the Higher Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology programme, which will start in September.
This action is a result of the institution’s dedication to improving access to high-quality education in medicine.
Aspiring candidates must submit a formal application to KMTC for the Higher Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology in order to be considered for these scholarships.
Additionally, in order to be considered for the scholarship, you must fulfil the following requirements:
Orthopaedic technologist certification: Applicants must possess certifications as orthopaedic technologists from reputable training facilities.
Relevant Work Experience: Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience working in a County Health Facility, which includes County Referral Hospitals or Sub-county Referral Hospitals.
The National Association of Orthopaedic Technologists in Kenya requires prospective academics to register with them.
Candidates must be working as orthopaedic technologists for a Kenyan County government at the time of application.
County Approval and Release: Before being taken into consideration, they must have county approval and release.
Counties must promise to keep paying the candidate’s salary during the training term in order to fulfil the wage continuation requirement.
Candidates must present proof of bonding from the local governments in their respective counties.
The scholarship increases the program’s accessibility and appeal by paying for tuition and providing a stipend.
This offers healthcare professionals a fantastic chance to advance their careers and improve the quality of healthcare across the country.
Applications are being accepted for the program’s 2023 intake through August 31, 2023.
Candidates who are interested in applying are invited to do so using the official KMTC admissions portal at admissions.kmtc.ac.ke.
This potential fits well with Kenya’s larger development strategy, which is detailed in Vision 2030 and focuses on improving healthcare and skill development.
By working with international partners like ATscale and the Clinton Health Access Initiative, KMTC is laying the groundwork for a day when medical professionals have access to cutting-edge training and knowledge, which will have a positive effect on the healthcare system in the country.
