KCSE Candidate Hit Police, Destroys Their Vehicle and Escapes Exam

A police report has revealed an incident that occurred at Karigu-ini Mixed Secondary School. A student refused to be frisked before the beginning of CRE paper 1 on Thursday 8th.

The officer guarding the exam center noted that the candidate did not have a face mask and upon asking the boy, he got confrontational. The boy is claimed to have hurled abusive words at the police causing a commotion.

The drama interrupted the examination preparation exercise for minutes with another officer stepping into the room to ascertain what was transpiring.

When seeing the other officer, the candidate fled out of the examination room, picked up a stone, and hit the windscreen of a police land cruiser that was parked outside.

The police report further revealed that the student finally managed to get away from the examination center and had caused destruction. The situation was restored to normalcy with other students managing to sit for the paper in time.

Incidences of KCSE students running out during the exam period have been recorded in different parts of the country. On the 6th of April, a nervous KCSE candidate tried to run away from the exam room during the administration of the Mathematics Paper Two test.

The school principal run after the disheartened candidate and caught up with him near the school fence. He calmed the student’s nerves with a cup of milk to calm and persuade him to complete the maths paper.
