KCPE, KCSE Candidates Will Not Fail Despite Poor Results In The Recently Assessed Exams By KNEC. Education CS Magoha Says.
“If you failed your national exams don’t panic.” These were the words of the education Cabinet Secretary professor George Magoha. He said the government is well aware of the effects that being out of school for months had on them.
“The examination is just one month away, and the students should be at peace because the government is aware they were out of school for nine months,” stated Magoha.
Speaking at Mwiki Primary School in Githurai, Kiambu County, on Monday where he was distributing masks, the education CS stated that the ministry has mapped out children that have yet to report to school, the majority being girls.
He directed school going girls that are pregnant to sit for the examinations next month adding that they will be rehabilitated and should not fear the stigma.
“The exam has been given, we know that you are not at school for nine months. And our job as teachers is to pick what you have in your brain not what you don’t have.
The CS disputed claims that the students were bound to fail in the forthcoming national examinations.
“You can completely ignore the opinion of some of the newspapers who think that we are all going to fail. I can guarantee you that we are not going to fail.
“Those tests were done immediately you opened the school.
