Senior business analyst

Job Description 

It is the responsibility of the business analyst to ascertain, examine, record, and validate the business requirements of all stakeholders, including customers and end users. In order to comprehend the technical solutions they demand, this involves speaking with stakeholders and obtaining and summarizing user requirements.

To assist the business in making wise technological decisions, the business analyst will also put to use tested communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. In order to improve company processes, the business analyst will also be proactive and investigate emerging technology. By maximizing the value that systems bring to a specific business unit or subsidiary, the BA primarily serves as a conduit between those business units or subsidiaries and IT Services, planning and organizing operational activities. Work with users to determine the specifics of their requirements in terms of functionality and performance as well as ways that IT services may help the users’ businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish the project’s scope and vision in collaboration with the sponsors.
  •  Determine user classes and their attributes, as well as the distinct stakeholders in the project.
  • Conduct user requirements gathering interviews using workshops, surveys, questionnaires, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, and other techniques.
  •  To define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics, identify and specify the scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis.
  •  Prioritize the requirements gathered in collaboration with the project team and stakeholders.
  •  Develop ideas for improving or further leveraging existing requirements-gathering processes by researching, reviewing, and analyzing their efficacy and efficiency.
  •  Keep abreast of the IT requirements and business operations.

  • Find possibilities where IT can be used to achieve business goals.
  •  Create and maintain connections with the management of the firm and its subsidiaries, and help all levels of the business area articulate their overall business needs.
  •  Give business units and subsidiaries advice, direction, and help with the locating, picking, testing, and evaluating the capabilities of IT services.
  •  Work closely with users to specify the specifics of their performance and functionality needs.

  •  Interacting inside the IT Services framework makes it easier to comprehend particular needs and properly package services for represented Businesses/Subsidiaries.
  •  Keep track of the operational service performance for each Business Unit/Subsidiary in relation to SLAs for a given user constituency.
  •  Compare the overall operational service performance to SLAs and take the necessary action if a breach occurs.
  •  Watch the development of the entire program and its functionality to make sure that the criteria are met.
  •  Manage important IT and business community stakeholders and make ensuring that IT projects are closely aligned with business goals.
  •  Work with the corporate community to coordinate communication strategies with end users.
  •  Establish the best technical approach to produce cost-effective solutions that satisfy the business requirements and needs (with the help of business and technological solutions).
  •  Watch the development of a specific feature to make sure that the schedule, budget, and criteria are all met.
  •  Help with user testing and service release acceptance.
  •  Express your dissatisfaction or happiness with the IT service provided to the user community, thereby establishing a cycle of continual development.

Qualifications

Formal credentials:

  •  First degree in a business- or ICT-related field; an MBA or CBAP is preferred.
  •  It is advantageous to have knowledge of common software development frameworks (such as AGILE, CMMI) and business modeling conventions.

Experience Years:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT service delivery, or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in ICT business analysis or project management for solution providers to financial services
