Jadon Sancho, a star for Manchester United, will be hoping to start tonight’s Carabao Cup matchup with Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United expects to have Jadon Sancho available for tonight’s Carabao Cup match against Nottingham Forest. The England international hopes to demonstrate his true abilities at Old Trafford, where he has not played since October. And now that the No. 7 shirt is empty, he has added motivation to prove his worth.

Sancho’s season got off to a strong start, as the United star scored in decisive victories against Liverpool and Leicester.

Prior to being transported to the Netherlands for mental and physical rehabilitation, the 22-year-old resembled a mere shell of his former self.

United released Sancho during the World Cup break, and he has been out of action for a while, with his last outing coming in October in a 1-1 tie against Chelsea.

However, the England international is now poised to return to play this evening when United face Nottingham Forest.

Marcus Rashford, Wout Weghof, and Bruno Fernandes scored in the first leg to give the Red Devils a 3-0 advantage, so they should have an easy day tonight.

In an effort to get the striker back to his best form, United have seemingly chosen the ideal match for Sancho to return to action.

In addition, the former Manchester City academy graduate now has another motivation to advance.

When Sancho wanted to join United in 2020, the Red Devils promised him the legendary No. 7 jersey.

It has been worn by club luminaries like as Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best, Eric Cantona, and David Beckham, making it the number with the most significance at Old Trafford.

United ultimately failed to sign the player that year, as Dortmund demanded a staggering £108 million to part with their prized possession.

When Sancho relocated one year later, the No. 7 he desired was already occupied.

The shirt was acquired by Edinson Cavani upon his free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Cavani gently rejected when Sancho asked the Uruguayan international when he could have the No. 7 jersey.

However, he made an exception for Ronaldo, probably the best player to ever wear the number in soccer.

However, the number is now again available.

In November, Ronaldo departed the club voluntarily, shortly after an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
