Harambee Stars Face Crucial Test Against Gambia.

The national football team, Harambee Stars, is set to take on Gambia tomorrow in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. To keep their qualification hopes alive for the tournament in America, Mexico, and Canada, they must secure victories in their next two matches.

After playing four matches, Kenya, which arrived in Abidjan last evening, currently holds the fourth position in Group F with five points. Ivory Coast leads the group, while Gabon, with nine points, occupies second place. Burundi follows closely in third place with seven points. Meanwhile, Gabon is scheduled to play Seychelles, the bottom team, tomorrow before heading to Nairobi for a crucial clash against the Stars at the National Stadium on Sunday.

The upcoming matches against Gambia and Gabon will serve as the first test for newly appointed head coach Benny McCarthy, who took charge of the Harambee Stars two weeks ago.

Harambee Stars will face Gambia today at 10 p.m. in a World Cup qualifier. The team arrived in Ivory Coast last evening, aiming to secure all three points before returning to Nairobi for another crucial qualifier against Gabon. The match is scheduled for Sunday, March 23rd, at Nyayo National Stadium.
