Hand Sanitizers banned in schools

On Wednesday, Education CS Prof Magoha instructed teachers to confiscate any small bottles sanitisers from children in which they will be returned on to them while leaving school.

The CS was speaking after a meeting with education stakeholders at Our Lady of Fatima Girls Secondary School in Kariobangi North saying that students were using the hand sanitisers to start school fires. He even went ahead and pointed a case in which a fire was started.

A fire at Cheborge Boys Secondary School destroyed the property of unknown value after a fire that broke out in the student’s dormitory.
Magoha said that the twin dormitory which held 300 students was destroyed on one side by the fire. The cause of the fire in the school though is yet to be established.

Earlier in the month, Magoha had stated that large quantities sanitisers will not bee allowed and teachers will only handle five litres that will be allowed in school for general school population when in public.
