Grief In Malindi After Grade One Boy Was Electrocuted And Died On The Spot

A Cloud of grief has engulfed Takaye Village In Malindi Sub County, Kilifi County after a seven-year-old Boy was electrocuted and died on the spot.

According to villagers, the Grade One student at a nearby private school was playing with friends around a kiosk when he came into contact with a live electric wire that had been left unattended.

Mr Francis Maingi, the boy's father, stated that his son Vincent had returned home for lunch and was playing with his friends around the kiosk made of iron sheets when he accidentally touched an open electric wire and died as a result of the sport.

He requested that the government conduct a thorough investigation into how the owner of the kiosk was permitted to connect electricity wires without following proper procedures.
