The Governor of Kirinyaga County Dr. Ann Waiguru has on Wednesday, May 31st distributed Ksh.3M in bursaries.

Ksh 1.6M has been channeled to the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) students and Ksh 1.3M to those in tertiary institutions.

Earlier this year, Kirinyaga County disbursed Ksh110M bursaries that benefited 40,000 students.

“My government remains committed to support the improve the academic performance of our county and ultimately the lives of our youths.

Governor Waiguru concluded by wishing success to all KCSE candidates and urged all schools to adhere to the laid down Covid-19 protocols.
