Government Announces 400 Internship Vacancies for Presidential Talent Programme
The ICT Authority has opened applications for the Presidential Digital Talent Programme (Digitalent), offering over 400 internship slots.
Stanley Kamanguya, CEO of the ICT Authority, urged Kenyans to apply for Cohort VIII of the program for the year 2023-24.
The 12-month internship aims to equip fresh ICT and engineering graduates with practical skills to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial abilities. It includes non-digital skills like critical thinking and entrepreneurship, with a focus on ICT innovation.
The 400 slots cover various areas: Network and Infrastructure (150), Software Development & Artificial Intelligence (100), Information Security (50), Multimedia (Graphic Design and Digital Marketing – 50), and Data Analysis (50).
The application deadline is October 3, 2023, and women, persons with disabilities, and those from the ASAL region are encouraged to apply.

So far, the program has trained over 2,000 interns who have found placements in different sectors of the economy.
This initiative aligns with the Digital Skills pillar of the Kenya National Digital Master Plan (2022-32), essential for the Digital Economy’s growth and accessibility to all Kenyans.
