Good News to Teachers Who Will Be Manning 2023 Examinations
In a recent news report from a reputable source, it has been disclosed that teachers who play crucial roles in supervising and marking national examinations for the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) have received promising news.
According to the report, the education committee in the national assembly, led by Honorable Julius Melly, a member of Parliament representing Tinderet, has requested the Ministry of National Treasury and Planning to release funding to the Kenya National Examination Council in advance.
Honorable Julius Melly emphasized the need for the timely allocation of resources to ensure examiners are paid promptly upon completing their work. He stated, “We are now demanding that the national treasury allocates resources so that the Examiners are paid in time immediately after they are done with the work.
We have made it clear to the council to not ever do this without the money. We have also told Treasury to not ever engage the Examiners without the money being released to KNEC,” as quoted by the People Daily.
