Fourth Man Utd Signing Lands in Ten Hag’s Lap as Major Star Becomes “Ready to be Sold
According to reports, the next significant arrival at Old Trafford is’ready to be sold’ and favors Manchester United over a rival suitor, and a deal appears imminent once the ‘right offer’ is made.
The Red Devils could add up to six new first-team players this summer.
Rasmus Hojlund will join Andre Onana and Mason Mount in the near future. Atalanta has accepted a proposal totaling £72 million for the international player from Denmark.
Hojlund will shortly undergo a physical examination before signing a five-year deal with a sixth-year club option.
The 20-year-old will not be United’s last summer recruit, however.
The Daily Mail recently reported that Manchester United have already begun contacting agents regarding movements for a backup goalkeeper, a depth option at central defense, and a high-profile holding midfielder.
Concerning the latter, Southampton’s Romeo Lavia is reportedly on United’s radar.
As the Belgian has already agreed to terms with Liverpool, Sofyan Amrabat is the player most likely to sign with Manchester United.
The 26-year-old Moroccan plays for Fiorentina at the club level, and according to three reports, a transfer is imminent.
Amrabat prefers a transfer to Manchester United over Al Ahli, according to Sport Witness.
Although Amrabat prefers the Red Devils, the Saudi Arabian team will be able to offer him more advantageous personal terms.
Second, according to the Italian publication Firenze Viola, which specializes in all things Fiorentina, Amrabat is merely waiting for Manchester United to submit a formal offer.
Once an offer of at least €25 million (approximately £21.5 million) is made, Fiorentina will reportedly approve, and Amrabat’s transfer will accelerate.
According to a second update from the same source, developments are imminent on this front.
Amrabat is labeled as “ready to be sold,” and there have been indications from Italy in the past that personal terms have been agreed upon.
Amrabat has been repeatedly identified by Fabrizio Romano as Manchester United’s main target for the holding midfield position.
However, the transfer expert has insisted that Manchester United must release a couple of players before pursuing Amrabat.
Fred, Scott McTominay, and Donny van de Beek are all candidates for termination in this regard.
As well as clubs in Saudi Arabia, Fulham and Galatasaray are interested in signing Fred.
Real Sociedad is considering Van de Beek as a replacement for David Silva, who recently retired.
West Ham pursued McTominay, but according to Sky Sports, Manchester United priced the Hammers out of a transfer.
