A 46-year old man was hacked to death by his secret lover at her home in Mukimwani Location, Mbooni Sub-County in Makueni County. It is believed that the woman was helped by her son aged 20 and who is a Form 3 student.
The incident happened on Sunday night. Justus Manthi Kyengo was allegedly killed by a woman recognized as Christine Wanza Mutie. The woman and her son are already in police custody according to police.
Kyengo’s body was recovered by police near the gate to the suspects’ house with deep cuts on the neck, head, and left hand.
“The woman and man who are lovers, are believed to have disagreed over unknown issues resulting to her attacking the deceased using a panga assisted by her son,” said Makueni County Police Commander Joseph Ole Naipeyan on Monday.
Mr. Ole Naipeyan stated that the two suspects are being held at Mbumbuni Police Station and will be charged in court after investigations are completed where they will face murder charges.
A blood-stained panga was recovered inside the suspect’s house. The body of the deceased was taken to Tawa Funeral Home for preservation to await a postmortem test.
Just a week ago, a man from the same village strangled his two children aged 9 and 4 years old before killing himself.
