Emirates Exit Imminent: Arsenal’s 6-Foot-6 ‘Hero’ Set to Depart in the ‘Next Few Days

As Mikel Arteta focuses on outgoings, Arsenal may seek to sell a “hero” from the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal could allow a young talent to depart the Emirates Stadium in search of regular playing time elsewhere, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano told GIVEMESPORT in an exclusive interview.

Mikel Arteta has had a strong start to the summer transfer window as the Gunners look to contend for the Premier League title once more this season.

The Most Recent Arsenal Transfer News

After signing Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz, Ajax center-back Jurrien Timber, and West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, Arsenal may be compelled to sanction some departures if they wish to further bolster their roster.

Granit Xhaka has left Arsenal for £21.4 million, joining Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga as the 30-year-old bids farewell after seven years at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners received £6 million from the sale of Pablo Mari to Serie A club Monza, after the Brazilian spent the previous season with Monza before activating a clause to make the move permanent.

And versatile fullback Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been released at the conclusion of his contract with the club, having spent the last few seasons on loan, most recently with Southampton, who finished last in the Premier League last season.

According to Football.London correspondent Kaynak Kaynak, Arsenal could still sanction additional sales this summer, with young goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo missing the club’s preseason tour to the United States as he nears a permanent exit.

Romano also informed GIVEMESPORT that the 6’6″ talent could depart Arsenal this summer after his agents had a “very honest” conversation with the club.

And according to the Italian journalist, the best option for Okonkwo, who was once dubbed a “hero” by journalist Josh Holland, would be to secure a permanent transfer to another club in order to become a starting goalkeeper.

What did Romano say concerning Arsenal and Okonkwo?

Regarding Okonkwo’s future, Romano stated to GIVEMESPORT:

“They extended the contract of Ramsdale. The best thing is probably for the player to secure a permanent transfer elsewhere. This is the situation.

“So, let’s see where, but I think he is going to leave the club on a permanent deal in the next few days or weeks because this is the idea of the player, and Arsenal have accepted that.”

What does this summer hold for Arsenal?

With departures on the agenda at Emirates Stadium, sporting director Edu Gaspar and Arteta may have identified players who could leave Arsenal during the transfer window.

Dean Jones, a transfer insider, recently told GIVEMESPORT that it is unlikely that midfielder Thomas Partey will remain with Arsenal beyond the current transfer window.

As their roster begins to take form, the journalist asserts that the Gunners must finalize a deal with the Ghanaian international immediately.

Paul Brown of GIVEMESPORT reports that Arteta could divert his attention away from luring Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia to north London in favor of Gremio star Bitello, who could be a cheaper alternative.

After a productive first month of the transfer window, Arsenal will feel well-prepared for the upcoming Premier League season.

However, the club must now incur expenses in order to balance its accounts.
