Education CS Issues Directive on Exams Scheduled on Monday
Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has confirmed that the ongoing KCSE exams will proceed as scheduled on Monday, despite it being declared a public holiday. The Education CS emphasized that all members of the Multi-Agency Examinations Administration Group should be present on time to ensure the day’s activities are carried out according to the set timetable.
This decision was made because the Ministry of Interior and National Administration declared Monday, November 13, 2023, as a public holiday to encourage tree planting nationwide. However, the Ministry of Education wants to make it clear that this holiday will not disrupt the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Examination papers scheduled for the same day.
