Education CS has called for interrogation into Education Assessment Systems
Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has urged policymakers in African countries to address the shortcomings in their respective national education assessment systems. Machogu emphasized the necessity of dealing with these challenges and underscored that assessments play a pivotal role in the success of an educational system.
He delivered these remarks during the 39th annual conference of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA), where his speech was read by Dr. Belio Kipsang. Notable attendees included Patrick Areghan and Dr. David Njengere.
Machogu stressed the importance of facilitating open discussions concerning effective strategies to ensure that assessments do not put any students at a disadvantage.
