Chelsea’s New Signing Shares Exclusive Sadio Mane Conversation on Mauricio Pochettino
Nicolas Jackson has officially joined Chelsea from Villarreal.
New agreement Nicolas Jackson already has a clear understanding of the prospective Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, who will take over in the coming days.
Yesterday, Jackson signed an eight-year contract at Stamford Bridge and will be prepared to confront Pochettino’s rigorous training sessions.
The West Londoners have already sold a substantial number of players to create room for incoming players during the transfer window. Jackson’s acquisition demonstrates, however, that they are also actively pursuing new players.

Mateo Kovacic’s move to Manchester City and Kai Havertz’s move to Arsenal are two of the most notable departures. N’Golo Kante has signed with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, while Mason Mount is poised to join Manchester United.
Pochettino, who was designated Chelsea’s new manager following a series of interviews with the former Tottenham Hotspur manager, is expected to begin his duties on July 1. The 51-year-old will assume charge of a disjointed squad that finished 12th in the Premier League during the 2022–23 season.
But new acquisitions Senegalese are now aware of what Pochettino will do with players’ fitness and how he will implement his system of player development, as he stated on the official Chelsea website:
“I spoke to Sadio Mane about him, and he spoke very highly of him; he said amazing things about him. Sadio told me the manager is going to help me a lot to improve and do well if I listen to what he has to say, so that is exactly what I’m going to do.”
Chelsea officially announced the acquisition of Nicolas Jackson.
Given that Mane was a young player when he played for Southampton and made his mark under the Argentine coach, he would be familiar with Pochettino’s playing style and how he can assist the development of both young and older players.
Mane’s 25 goals and 14 assists in 75 games for the Saints convinced Liverpool to make a move, and presumably Jackson will follow in his footsteps. If he proves to be even half as good as the current Bayern Munich forward, we will have gotten a great deal.
His career could also benefit from a transfer to Chelsea. The Blues are a European powerhouse who would want seasoned superstars, which Jackson is not currently. However, Poch’s presence should be sufficient to convince the youthful newcomers that the project is centered on them.
