Chelsea hopes to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang by next Monday and has informed him not to report for duty.
According to a tweet by Matt Law of the Telegraph, Chelsea have informed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that he will not be joining the squad on Wednesday in an attempt to sell him before next Monday.
On Monday, the team will embark on a preseason tour of the United States. With few days remaining, the Blues must act swiftly to complete the transfer of Aubameyang.
The Daily Mail reported a few days ago that Al-Ettifaq’s new manager, Steven Gerrard, is interested in acquiring the former Arsenal and Barcelona forward this summer.

The 34-year-old’s tenure at Stamford Bridge has been disappointing since he arrived from Barcelona last summer. When asked to play and lead the line, he displayed no desire to perform well despite the club’s difficult circumstances, which included a succession of managers.
Moreover, he is of an age where he will not play professional football for an extended period of time. The combination of these factors indicates that Chelsea is making the correct decision by attempting to transfer him in the coming days.
The club should disregard the prospective return from this transaction. The objective must be to remove the player from the payroll as quickly as feasible.
Chelsea has requested that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang not join the team in an attempt to sell him.
To be fair to the club, they have done an outstanding job this summer of selling unwanted players at reasonable prices. Saudi clubs typically overpay for players because they strive to create a name for themselves on the global footballing scene. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise if they make an outrageous offer for Aubameyang.
The challenge for Chelsea is to locate an experienced number nine who can solve the team’s primary problem, which is scoring goals consistently. Auba has always appeared to be a temporary solution.
We must find a balance between acquiring a striker past his prime and a rookie with little experience at the highest level. Let’s hope that we are able to accomplish something in the No. 9 area before the window closes.
