Candidates Forced To Take Exams At Night In North Rift

A day after the commencement of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and KPSEA Exams nationwide, recent reports reveal that candidates in North Rift faced the unfortunate situation of having to take their exams at night due to delivery delays.

According to a report published in Wednesday’s People Daily, hundreds of students found themselves waiting until nightfall to begin their grade six and class eight exams. In some areas, students were compelled to relocate to nearby schools because of impassable roads.

In Samburu, it is reported that students from two schools had to initiate their exams at 3 pm and concluded the last paper as late as 10 pm. This predicament arose when a bus transporting exam papers became stuck, and a Landcruiser was employed to deliver the papers later in the afternoon.

Remarkably, this situation is disheartening, given that the government possesses the means to enhance the timely and accessible delivery of exams to hundreds of students in North Rift. It’s worth noting that Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has yet to address the issue, nor have any government officials.

In the meantime, we must await further developments. Please remember to Follow, Share, and leave your thoughts in the comment section below to stay informed about our news. Thank you for reading.
