Bursar Lose Sh1.2 million from his car. DCI Detectives are investigating a mystery believed to be car break in that has led to a school bursar losing sh1.2 million.
From the police report submitted by the AIC Chebisas Girls High School Bursar Nahashon Lagat is that he made a series of withdrawals in Kapsabet town before he left for Nandi Hills town at noon to run his errands on Wednesday 19th, April 2023.
The police report indicates that Nahashon Lagat parked his personal car outside one bank and left to buy his personal effects.
From the report gathered from our sources, Education News Arena has established that the money was purposely meant for the upcoming trip for teachers to Mombasa.
Since then, the DCI Detectives have indicated that the bursar has recorded a statement over what transpired until the money got lost.

“We have started an investigation into the incident and bursar has recorded a statement over the incident,” Said Chikanda.
According to the preliminary investigations conducted, it has been noted that unsuspected people in possession of a probox alighted and opened the Bursar’s car and made away with the cash with anybody noticing.
Lagat states that later after coming back he realized the car was opened and the money was missing.
“We are gathering information from the victim and the members of the public over the alleged suspects. So far we can not divulge more details until we zero in on the suspects,” Mr. Chikanda stated.
Similar Incident in Kapsabet town
A similar incident happened to a business man in Kapsabet last month who also lost Sh1 million in a similar manner.
The trader said that he suspected that somebody had given the robbers a tip off that there was money in the car after he saw him withdraw at the Bank.
As much as investigations are going on to nub the perpetrators, non of them from the two incidents have been arrested.
The school has agreed that the trip for teachers will still proceed uninterrupted to Mombasa.
