Arsenal’s £25m Warning to West Ham Over Moyes’ Desired Signing Post Rice Deal
Arsenal has updated London rivals West Ham on their pursuit of a Gunners star prior to Declan Rice’s big-money transfer to The Emirates.
Mikel Arteta’s squad is on the verge of announcing the £105 million acquisition of the England midfielder after agreeing to the payment structure that had stalled the deal.
Nevertheless, there are allegations of an additional, less prominent transfer between the London rivals.
Arsenal have had a productive summer thus far, acquiring Kai Havertz from Chelsea, with Rice and Ajax center-back Jurrien Timber also expected to sign.
In stark contrast, the Hammers have yet to sign a player as they presumably await the Rice money to arrive in their bank account.
Tuttomercatoweb reports that West Ham is interested in signing left-back Nuno Tavares from their fellow Premier League club.
The 23-year-old Portuguese spent the previous season on loan at Marseille after Oleksandr Zinchenko joined Manchester City.
And with Kieran Tierney remaining in north London despite Newcastle’s interest, Tavares’ future appears to be limited.
This has prompted the Hammers to inquire about his availability, only to be informed that he will likely cost £25 million.
Galatasaray is also eager to strike a deal, so West Ham is not the only interested party.
However, it appears that Tavares is currently waiting for a larger club to make an offer for his services.
