Arsenal’s £17m target delighted and says Gunners interest ‘very encouraging’

Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey acknowledges that Arsenal’s interest is’very flattering’ as he considers a lucrative transfer away from the Turkish Super Lig champions.

Ben White may have flourished in a new full-back role last season, but Mikel Arteta appears determined to add a more natural right-sider to his roster this summer.

Ivan Fresneda of Real Valladolid remains an option. Additionally, Timothy Castagne of Leicester City.

Sacha Boey’s is arguably the most prominent name currently being considered by Arsenal. Earlier this month, the Turkish publication Hurriyet reported that Galatasaray are seeking £17 million. More than the £12 million proposed by Arsenal.

Boey has stated that he remains devoted to the Turkish champions, but if Arsenal increase their interest in the coming weeks, it will be difficult for him to reject a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Sacha Boey is an Arsenal target.

“I am a Galatasaray player,” Boey informs SoFoot. “But I have even greater ambitions. Because I have never cheated on them, I believe they will comprehend and revere me. We only have one career option, so we must pursue it.

“The Arsenal’s interest is very encouraging. Premier League is the league to which I aspire. So, we shall see what transpires.”

In 2021, Boey, a France U21 international, rejected Celtic in favor of Galatasaray. Athletic and aggressive, he assisted on four goals in 38 games during the 2022-23 season.

Bacary Sagna, a former right-back for Arsenal, tells Sporting News that Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey is one of his favorite players.

“I believe he would be an ideal fit for Arsenal. As a right back myself, I must state he is incredible; I’m sure many clubs are considering signing him.”

Fresneda, meanwhile, is available for a reduced price of £17 million following Valladolid’s dramatic relegation from La Liga on the final day of the season last month.

“(Arsenal and Dortmund) are two excellent clubs, and we have favorable opinions about them. They provide opportunities for youth, according to Fresneda’s representative, Luis Bardaji.

There have been approximately thirty teams intrigued.
