Arsenal poised for unforgivable transfer as Man Utd plot $38m bid for Mikel Arteta favourite

Arsenal transfer news: the most recent Gunners media briefing with rumors and responses to market articles on Thomas Partey and Aymeric Laporte.

A favorite of Mikel Arteta could be up for sale at Arsenal.

Welcome to the transfer briefing for the nationspy. To help you stay abreast of everything Arsenal-related in the market, we’ve compiled the most recent sounds from social media, journalists, and so-called ITKs, summing up what’s going on in the world of the Gunners.

Manchester United contact Partey

Thomas Partey has been recruited by Manchester United as Casemiro’s replacement this summer. The Red Devils have already acquired Mason Mount from Chelsea, but according to Dutch media reports, they are already searching for additional midfield reinforcements.

After Declan Rice is announced as a Gunner, Fichajes reports that Arsenal will allow Partey and Granit Xhaka to leave once an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen is finalized. It would also enhance a direct Premier League rival.

In light of the Sun’s report that a £30 million ($38 million) offer for Partey could suffice, Manchester United have planned to make Partey their next marquee signing, with the intention of selling Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek. Partey also has proposals from the Saudi Professional League and Juventus.

football.london claims that Arsenal are already playing a risky game in midfield without bolstering a top-four rival. Considering the impending competitiveness of the league in the upcoming season, allowing Partey to sign with United will only exacerbate this risk.

It also increases the need for additional additions to be made as a result of the loss of two members. Fabio Vieira is not a natural deep-lying playmaker, Albert Sambi Lokonga is a work in progress, and Mikel Arteta’s men are under increased strain and expectation, so allowing multiple departures without securing replacements is a dubious strategy.

Romeo Lavia will undoubtedly be actively pursued, but given the competition for his signature, it is unwise to assume that he will be able to join the club without difficulty at this time. In the end, however, Arsenal, Arteta, and Edu Gaspar have done very little wrong in recent seasons, and if their decision to reduce the age of the squad necessitates letting Xhaka and Partey leave at the beginning of a window, they have earned the trust of the fans by making such a bold decision.

Arsenal will have to compete for Aymeric Laporte

In order to recruit Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte this summer, Arsenal must defeat Chelsea. After four and a half years at the Etihad Stadium, the Spanish center-back is reportedly available for transfer.

Arsenal were also interested in acquiring Ilkay Gundogan, whose contract with Manchester United had expired, before he signed with Barcelona. Now, they are rumored to be contemplating a move for the 29-year-old, along with clubs such as Chelsea.

Laporte has two years remaining on his contract and, according to reports from Italy, will be available for a transfer fee of approximately £25m ($32.1m) this summer. Tottenham is also in the running for Josko Gvardiol as City looks to raise funds ahead of their pursuit.

A Spanish defender that Arteta has previously coached and who has Premier League experience at the highest level for such a low price, according to football.london. This appears to be too wonderful to be true. During Arteta’s tenure at City, Laporte was one of the best defenders in the division and excelled in his early years in England.

Now that Ruben Dias has emerged and Pep Guardiola is utilizing four central-defender formations, there is intense competition for positions. Then again, Laporte would face competition in north London from William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes. For Arteta, this is the ideal scenario, but for Laporte, he may not receive the immediate squad role he desires.

Gabriel and Saliba were two of the finest defenders in the league last season and have established a solid foundation for the team’s young core. Despite the fact that Laporte’s expertise is invaluable, managing three players of that caliber is a daunting task. However, injuries have been a problem for Arsenal’s defense, and additional reinforcements, including Jurrien Timber, would be appreciated.

Signing Laporte would be a significant statement of intent for the Gunners, but it would also pose significant concerns for Arteta, which he may not be eager to address immediately. Guardiola’s consideration of selling a player of Laporte’s caliber is reprehensible, and no other team in the league is capable of doing so.
