Arsenal Eyeing Chelsea for Summer Reinforcements Amidst Predicted Mass Exodus
According to sources, Chelsea is poised to unload several players in the summer to offset their enormous buying spree, and Arsenal is mulling a move.
The west London club spent almost £250 million in January, acquiring nine new players through a combination of high-priced purchases, youthful recruitment, and a massive loan deal for Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid.
In total, Chelsea’s spending under their new owners has already reached £500 million, and one of their primary goals this summer will be to reclaim monies to comply with Financial Fair Play.
Jorginho had only six months remaining on his contract when Arsenal agreed to a £12 million deal for him.

Chelsea intends to be “ruthless” in reducing their squad and dumping players this summer, and Arsenal are one of several teams eager to get a bargain.
The crowning glory Arsenal are interested in Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is unlikely to remain at Stamford Bridge when he returns from his loan at Bayer Leverkusen after the current campaign.
Given that he was formerly one of the most highly regarded young players in the Premier League and is a homegrown player, Hudson-Odoi is an enticing option.
However, a loan move to the Bundesliga has thus far failed to revive his career, with the 22-year-old recording only one assist and no goals in 11 league appearances — though he did score in the Champions League.
Arsenal is keeping an eye on Hudson-performances Odoi’s for Leverkusen in preparation for a possible transfer, while other clubs are also monitoring his potential availability.
In addition to selling the winger, Chelsea will also consider bids for Hakim Ziyech, whose transfer to Paris Saint-Germain fell through because of a paperwork error, Christian Pulisic, and Mateo Kovacic.
They are also eager to unload Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kalidou Koulibaly, despite having signed both players only last summer, with former manager Thomas Tuchel believed to have played a key role in their recruitment.
Chelsea would prefer to receive a transfer price for Romelu Lukaku, or at least loan him to Inter for another season. Conor Gallagher and Ben Chilwell might also be moved on.
