All JSS Teachers to Attend Training Starting October
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is launching a training program for junior secondary school teachers, scheduled to begin next month. This training will focus on the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) and Competency Based Assessment (CBA).
In a memo dated 26th September, addressed to TSC Regional and County Directors, the Commission has identified teachers of language, science, mathematics, humanities, and technical subjects for this training.
The training will take place in Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) and selected county venues from 9th to 13th October 2023.
It’s worth noting that Master Trainers from various educational institutions will undergo training from 2nd to 4th October at the Kenya Institute of Special Education. These Master Trainers will then proceed to train Trainer of Trainers (TOTs), including Curriculum Support Officers (CSOs), Teacher Educators (Tutors), TSC Sub-county directors, and Ministry of Education quality assurance officers. The TOTs’ training will occur from 6th to 7th October, also in Teacher Training Colleges and selected county venues.
