Sironga Girls Principal Arrested Over Exam Cheating
Sironga Girls Secondary School’s head principal has been arrested. Eva Adhiambo was arrested this morning after officials from the Kenyan National Examination Council visited the National School located in Nyamira County.
According to a statement written at Manga Police Station in Nyamira County, Eva claimed that KNEC officials visited the girl’s school today in the morning, where several written scripts were recovered from the candidates. The scripts that mostly featured questions and answers were suspected to be used for examination irregularities.

“Officials from the Ministry of Education visited our institution today in the morning, where they searched examination rooms and recovered several written scripts from candidates. The officers suspect the scripts culminating in my arrest,” Madam Eva Odhiambo told the police, as quoted by Citizen TV Kenya.
Early today, Nyambaria Boys High School Chief Principal, Mr. Charles Onyari, was also arrested and suspended over examination irregularities. Nyambaria is also found in Nyamira County. The two were later released from the police on a Ksh.10,000 bond.
