KMTC 2023/2024 Placement Results Released; Check Out
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has published the results for the placement of students aspiring to enroll at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).
In an announcement made on Wednesday, August 24th, the placement agency encouraged students to log in to the student portal on the KUCCPS website to access their placement outcomes.
KUCCPS stated, “Placement results for admission to the Kenya Medical Training College have been released. Successful applicants have been notified via SMS.”
The 2022 KCSE candidates were presented with a range of options for certificate and diploma courses.
Among the certificate courses are Medical Engineering, Health Records and Information Technology, Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, Community Health, Nutrition, and Dietetics.
Additionally, within the diploma category, potential choices include Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiography and Imaging, Health Counselling, Nutrition, Dietetics, and Community Health. The institution’s website also features the newly introduced Emergency Medical Technician Diploma course.

Regarding the eligibility criteria outlined by KMTC for diploma programs, prospective candidates needed to have achieved a mean grade of C in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), along with specific grades in designated subjects.
These requirements include obtaining a minimum grade of C in either English or Kiswahili, a C in Biology, and a C- in Chemistry. Furthermore, candidates were required to have secured a C- in Mathematics, Physics, or Physical Sciences.
As for certificate courses at KMTC, the exact entry criteria varied based on the chosen program. For instance, individuals interested in the Public Health certificate course needed to achieve a mean grade of C- in KCSE.
Conversely, those aiming for the Nutrition and Dietetics certificate program had to attain a mean grade of D+ to meet the eligibility prerequisites.
