“Keeping an Eye on “- Journalist Reveals Arsenal’s Interest in Monitoring an Exciting Midfield ‘Diamond’
Arsenal keeps a watch on some of Europe’s most talented players.
Ryan Taylor, a journalist for the Daily Express, told GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal will continue to monitor a young talent ahead of the upcoming season, but will not make a move for him this summer.
The Gunners have focused on bolstering their starting XI during the transfer window thus far, but they will continue to keep a watch on young talent.
The Most Recent Arsenal Transfer News
The first three players to appear at the Emirates Stadium this summer are Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, and Jurrien Timber.
All three have been actively involved under Mikel Arteta during preseason and are likely to be among the starting eleven when the Premier League season begins in a few weeks.
However, the Gunners’ scouting department will be scouring the globe in search of younger talent, hoping to discover the next Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, or William Saliba.
Even though Arteta will have been desperate to strengthen his team immediately, he will still have a long-term plan for signing players.
Arsenal’s priority for the summer transfer window was always going to be to acquire players capable of providing quality competition for a position in the team.
This was the case despite the club’s prolonged pursuit of the Premier League title, which was ultimately won by Manchester City.
Arteta will need a deeper roster as a result of the grueling schedule that comes with participating in European competitions, given that the Champions League is approaching.
What does Taylor have to say about Arsenal?
Taylor has suggested that Arsenal are interested in the talented Croatian Martin Baturina, who scout Jacek Kulig described as a “diamond.”
The journalist adds that this is a player they are contemplating for the future and that they may not be interested in signing him this summer due to their crowded midfield.
In his remarks to GIVEMESPORT, he stated:
“In regards to the midfield talent, again, Arsenal are stacked with midfielders at the moment, so it’s just a player that they’re keeping an eye on for the future.
“He caught the eye at the Under 21 Euros as well. So, he’s a player that’s going to be scouted again next season, and Dinamo Zagreb are in the Champions League qualifiers as well.
“So, there could be a chance that they qualify for the Champions League like they did last season, when they played against the likes of AC Milan and Chelsea.”
Who might Arsenal be interested in signing this summer?
As previously stated, Arsenal’s primary objective for the upcoming season is to improve in preparation for a Premier League championship push.
David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that the Gunners are exploring a deal to acquire Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, who is eager to transfer to north London.
Ben Jacobs recently reported to GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal has inquired about Mohammed Kudus’ availability from Ajax.
Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist, told GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal could make a move for a new right winger before the transfer window closes.
