Chelsea’s Bold Move: Mbappe Deal on the Table with Player Exchange Offer
We remain unconvinced that Chelsea has any chance of signing Kylian Mbappe, but the stalemate in the player’s situation at PSG means that you can’t completely discount us.
The most recent update on the situation, released just now by Duncan Castles, indicates that the Blues are attempting to negotiate a “cash-plus-player” agreement with the France star in an effort to bring him to Stamford Bridge after he decided his time in Paris was up.
PSG has placed him on the market and will evaluate any reasonable offer, such as the €300 million offer from Al Hilal.
Chelsea will not offer anything comparable, although they will likely need to offer more than £100 million for the Parisians to even contemplate accepting their offer.
Castles does not specify which players would be included in the agreement, but it would likely include Hakim Ziyech, who was on the verge of joining PSG on January’s transfer deadline day before the deal collapsed.
