“I can’t wait to see him in action,” Patrice Evra says of Manchester United’s newest signing
Marcel Sabitzer was recently loaned to Manchester United by Bayern Munich till the end of the current season. Patrice Evra discussed the Austrian midfielder and the qualities he likes most about Manchester United’s latest signing.
Evra is a huge fan of Sabitzer’s work ethic, stamina, and ability to score with long-range goals. In an interview with Betfair, the former French fullback stated:”Even if he hasn’t played in a United shirt, Marcel Sabitzer’s work rate is quite impressive. He’s got stamina and what I love about this player, he scores goals from outside of the box.”
He further added:
“He scored some great goals for Leipzig, and of course he’s had less playing time at Bayern Munich and that’s why we’ve got him but I’m sure Ten Hag will have studied the player, he’ll know the player and sometimes those players need to rebound.”
Evra also said that the move to Manchester United will give Sabitzer an opportunity to make a mark again:

Things are different when you play for Manchester United, but I cannot wait to watch him in action.
Marcel Sabitzer’s loan arrangement with the Red Devils does not include a buy option. Since joining Bayern in 2021 from RB Leipzig, Sabitzer has made 54 appearances, scoring two goals and registering two assists.
This season, he made 24 appearances for Julian Nagelsmann’s squad, but only 11 of those were as a starter. With Eriksen expected to miss a considerable amount of time due to injury, the transfer to Old Trafford could provide Sabitzer with the playing time he has been seeking.
Marcel Sabitzer is the first Austrian to play professionally for Manchester United.
