The Manchester City player “has asked” his club to release him this summer — Has a predetermined destination in mind
Bernardo Silva, a midfielder for Manchester City, “has begged” the club to allow him to leave this summer as he eyes a move to La Liga with Barcelona or Real Madrid.
According to Sport, the player “will listen” to offers from Barcelona and Madrid if they become available.
They clarify that the Portuguese star did not consider any January transfer bids and had no intention of departing in any case.
Barcelona, who have been longtime admirers, are aware that he “wants to leave” Manchester City voluntarily in the summer. However, his signing is now regarded as “extremely impossible.”
Silva, who has already decided to leave Manchester City, will be one of the most sought-after players during the summer transfer window.
His ‘determination is apparent,’ and he has communicated this to City, intending to go on a ‘arrangement basis’ as opposed to forcibly leaving.

He had discussed a possible transfer with the club last summer, but Manchester City’s valuation of €80 million proved exorbitant.
Due to his agent Jorge Mendes placing his name on the table, Barcelona had him as an option, but they chose to sign Raphinha instead. This left Silva awaiting Frenkie de Jong’s anticipated exit, which did not occur.
This summer, he intends to reactivate the option, and his agent has’reported his situation’ to Barcelona and Real Madrid in an effort to pique their interest.
He is not currently a priority for the latter, but there is speculation that a “massive rearrangement” may be on the horizon, which might pave the way for a transfer.
PSG is also interested in Silva, but he is currently only interested in playing in Spain and would only contemplate a move to France if a move to La Liga was ruled out.
