Haaland’s agent gives transfer warning
Erling Haaland’s agent stated that the player is content at Manchester City, but hinted that a deal will be reached once this no longer holds true.
Haaland selected City over Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona last summer after his team determined that the physical risk of the Premier League’s intensity was worth it for him to thrive in a squad desperate for his talents. The Norwegian signed a five-year contract, but it is believed that there is at least one release clause that might allow him to depart earlier, and his father has made no secret of his son’s desire to play in Europe.
Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, declined to confirm or deny the presence of any provision, stating, “The mystery is always intriguing; it’s always more seductive, isn’t it?” – and after evading a question regarding the player’s transfer to Real Madrid, she remarked that she cannot say no to Barcelona president Joan Laporta. And while she acknowledged that Haaland is loyal to City, the super-agent mentioned her capacity to adapt to changing circumstances.
