37-Year-Old mum to repeat form four after Scoring C- in 2020 KCSE. She wants to become a teacher.

37-Year-Old Mum Ann Otindo said she will repeat Form Four after Scoring C- in 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). Her aim this time is to score a C+ (plus) and above to achieve her desire to become a teacher.

The mother of 5 dropped out of school while in Form One and got married to Peter Wamalwa. After some years in marriage, she resolved to go back to school to fulfill her dream.

In the recently released results by Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha this month, Ann Otindo from Kabuchai Constituency, Bungoma county, secured a C- (minus).

“I decided to go back to class because, without education, you cannot live a better life,” said Otindo. In 2017, at the age of 34, she was admitted to Friends Musokho Secondary School where she sat her KCSE examinations in 2021.

“For all ladies expecting to go back to school, let me advise you that marriage is not a career,” she added. Her determination got the attention of the recently elected area Member of Parliament (MP) Majimbo Kalasinga.

The lawmaker has since vowed to pay her full school fees and take care of her children.
