The National Metropolitan Service is seeking to employ 240 applicants seeking for the various job positions. The target is a mean grade of D plain in KSCE. This jobs will be provided medical insurance coverage by the government and will be on a 2-year contract.
The jobs include:
Clerical Officer II – 38 posts available
The monthly scale is Ksh 16,890 – 20,800 (CSG 14), Job Group F.
Ksh 4,500 monthly for house allowance
Ksh 3,000 for commuter
The qualifications include
Minimum mean grade of C plain in KCSE
Knowledge of computer applications
Outstanding professional competence and work integrity in results and performance
Duties and responsibilities
Compiling data and drafting simple letters
Processing appointments, promotions and discipline cases
Preparing payment vouchers; computation of financial or statistical records.
Dispatching of letters and maintaining an efficient filing system
Sorting out letters and filling them
Compiling statistical records
Support staff III – available 57 posts
Monthly salary scale Ksh 14,610 – 16,250
Ksh 4,125 monthly for house allowance
Ksh 3,000 monthly for commuter
Qualifications
Minimum mean grade D plain in KCSE
Outstanding professional competence and work integrity in results and performance
Duties and responsibilities
General cleaning and other support services
General messenger duties
Ambulance driver – available 15 posts
The monthly salary scale of Ksh 15,670 – 17,570
Monthly house allowance of 4,500
Ksh 3,000 for commuter
Qualifications
Mean grade D plain in KSCE
3 years of driving experience as an ambulance driver
Valid driving license free from any current endorsement
Attend a first-aid certificate course at Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHIBIT) or St Johns Ambulance lasting not less than 1 week
A valid certificate of good conduct from Kenya police.
Outstanding professional competence and work integrity in results and performance
Duties and responsibilities
Maintenance of work ticket for the assigned vehicle
Driving the ambulance vehicle as authorised
Routine checks on the vehicle system should be carried out
Plant operator – available 30 posts
Monthly salary scale Ksh 25,470 – 33,950
Monthly house allowance Ksh 6,750
Ksh 4,00 for commuter
Qualifications
D plain KCSE mean grade
Valid driving licence free from any endorsement for relevant classes
Ability to operate 2 plants of difficult rating A and B
Passed occupational trade test 1 for plant operate
3 years minimum experience in operating such plant/equipment: forklift, monitor grade, shovel excavator, roller or any other.
Duties and responsibilities
Keep records of inventory of all plant in a project/unit
Operating heavy plants of difficult rating A and B
Formulating and administering working techniques
Assisting in training plant operators
Assisting in cost and of small road and accesses
Drivers – available 100 posts
Monthly salary scale Ksh 25,470 – 33,950
Monthly house allowance Ksh 6,750
Monthly commuter Ksh 4,000
Qualifications
Valid driving license
D plain KCSE mean grade
An experience of 4 years in category C vehicles
Driving certificate and automobiles

Driving assigned vehicles
Maintaining the vehicle cleanliness
Ensuring the safety of passengers and goods
