Reports have indicated that police officers were en route to Garissa to ensure the security of candidates taking the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam. Several officers were injured and received emergency treatment at Dadaab Hospital following an attack near Ege Dam on the Dadaab-Harissa road. Unfortunately, there have been numerous Al-Shabaab attacks in the northern regions of Kenya, resulting in the loss of innocent lives.

The government, represented by Interior Affairs Minister Kithure Kindiki and Defense Minister Aden Duale, has committed to putting an end to these attacks and bringing those responsible to justice. In October, Kindiki published the names and photos of 35 of the most wanted terrorists linked to various attacks in Kenya.
Simultaneously, as the national examinations began in the country, there were challenges, especially in areas where heavy rains disrupted the transportation of examination materials. President William Ruto and Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu visited a school in Kiambu County on Monday to offer support and encouragement to the students before their exams.
